Continental platter £7.95
Whitebait, prosciutto, olives, chorizo and feta cheese, with garlic bread.
Appetisers
Sausage on black pudding with mango chutney £4.95
As a proud Brit, I want to use mainly British products so we use Old Spot sausages, black pudding & fried bread.
Baked Camembert with soldiers £5.95
The camembert melts in the oven with a warm redcurrant and port glaze.
Whitebait £4.95
A generous portion of fish served with brown bread and butter.
Main courses
Rabbit & cider casserole £9.95
Comes with olive oil mash and a selection of fresh vegetables.
8 oz. Rib eye steak £14.25
Specially cut steak from the short loin area. A half pound of pure well hung beef, served with shoestring fries, pea puree, mushrooms and tomato.
Venison steak with a port and cranberry gravy £12.95
Cooked on a hot skillet, we serve the steak with new potatoes, beetroot, carrots and a field mushroom.
Duck breast with a gooseberry sauce £13.95
Cooked medium rare comes with dauphinoise potatoes, sweet potato wedges and vegetables.
Red snapper with herb butter £10.95

Vegetable and quorn fajita £10.95
Fresh vegetables and chunky quorn are combined with peppers and onions and served to your table sizzling. You get salsa, guacamole, sour cream and 3 tortillas, the rest is up to you!



Vegetarian selection
Greek Salad with garlic bread £9.95
This is a nod to Meg’s sister’s mother who hails from Crete and from whom I “liberated” this recipe 12 years ago. Proper feta cheese and proper olives!
Chickpea, sweet potato & spinach curry £8.95
All the above combined with coconut sauce with garlic and spices, finished with fenugreek & curry leaves with rice & naan.
Aubergine and Walnut bake £9.95
In this dish a combination of aubergine, butternut squash and walnuts are combined with a tomato sauce and topped with gruyere cheese. A crisp salad is served with this dish.
Bar food
The Burger £9.45
A blend of beef, chorizo and black pudding in a patty served in a toasted bun with Cheddar cheese and shoestring fries and coleslaw.
Home-cooked ham, double egg and chips £9.45
A thick slice of ham to give you that “melt in the mouth” taste, two eggs cooked sunny side up and served with our thick cut chips.
Lasagne bolognaises £9.45
I have tweaked this recipe to mirror what you would get served in Naples. Taste this and you’ll never want to go back to a mass produced, synthetic product again.
A fresh salad garni and dripping garlic bread add to the pleasure.
Cod, chips and peas £9.45
A tasty piece of cod picked for its flavour, floured and then dipped in 6X batter, served with chips and peas.
Kick ass chilli and rice £9.45
My version of a Mexican special, often imitated, but never bettered. We use diced beef (not minced meat) as you would in Mexico, nice and spicy (crème fraiche provided, to cool it down). I recommend a bottle of Corona lager to drink with the Chilli, making it a complete Mexican meal.
Sandwiches £5.95
Choose from Brown or white bread, served with shoestring fries.
Old spot sausages with fried onion and mango chutney.
Ham with cherry tomato and parmesan.
